The Spartan 550BSW features a brand new, high-performance PHILIPS MSD Silver 480W lamp and weighs just 25 kg (55.1 lbs). All of its functions operate with exceptional speed. Its body is slightly larger than average to accommodate a high-quality optical unit with a zoom range of 2° to 42°. The minimum beam angle of 2° allows for the creation of narrow parallel light beams, which are essential for beam light mode. Additionally, the wide zoom range enables the Spartan 550BSW to produce large beam angles, making it an ideal spotlight for any application.

The Spartan 550BSW offers two separate operating modes. In BEAM mode, the aerial effects are enhanced by the design of the Philips lamp. This mode delivers exceptional power output, which is further intensified by the optical unit's distinct hot spot. On the other hand, in SPOT mode, the light is diffused more evenly, resulting in excellent uniformity for projected visual effects. Additionally, this mode eliminates the noticeable hot spot at the center, making it highly suitable for face lighting applications.
